IS substantiated Senator Dan Sutherland is the authority for a story of a rich dis covery made in the Doorman district in Ruby. He says that before he left Doorman creek to make a trip to Ruby, Charles Cook, Albert Hansen and Teddy Swinland, working on the Mint association about a mile and a half below the town of Doorman, and situated on the right limit of the creek, had struck it rich. They had landed on dirt that ran from 25 cents to $1 to the pan, ana that dirt was distributed through five feet of gravel. The drift had been run about fifteen feet at the time he left Door man and the gold seemed to be hold ing up well.—Ex.
