Why, everyone knows it’s the
Day of the Robbins Rod & Gun
Club’s Annual Picnic.
Thev’re all heading for Starved
Rock Park Sunday, August 25
to enjoy the picnic to top all
Picnicers will assemble at the
C^ris and Mac filling station at
5:30 am. to depart at 6 a.m.
sharp. We’re sorry but late arri
vals will be late for departure
after the deadline.
Breakfast will be eaten at 9
o’clock on the picnic grounds
with coffee provided by the club
refreshment committee. A sigrt
seeing tour at 10 o’clock for those
who will go walking, while a
bingo party will entertain the
“stay in Campers.”
Voluntarily Enters
Manteno Hospital
Aaron (Sonny) Stout, for a
long time very active in politics
in the village and was at one
time Chief of Police, voluntarily
signed himself into the Manteno
State Hospital last Saturday.
Mr. Stout is not a mental case,
as was rumored, hut became ill
from what appeared to be Pri
mary Dropsy, according to one
diagnosis. Since alcohol seems
to aggravate his condition, it was
decided that Manteno would be
the best place for his recovery.
It was reported at press time
that his condition is much im

games of all types, to suit every
one, are scheduled.
