Junior Hadassah Will Sponsor Leap Year
Dance, Feb. 29; Miss Silverberg Is Chairman
A Leap Year Dance will be
sponsored on the night of Febru
ary 29th by the Jacksonville unit
of Junior Hadassah, it was an
nounced by Miss Rosilyn Silver
berg, co-chairman of fund raising
and chairman of the dance. The
event will be held in the Jewish
Center and will be “backward” in
nature, only young ladies escort
ing young men or young lady
“stags” will be admitted. Every
one is cordially invited to attend
the dance which should prove a

“Just as Abraham hastened to
do God’s bidding in walking up
the hill to sacrifice his son, Isaac,
so must we today be prepared to
lay aside our personal feelings
and ‘walk up the hill’ in the ser
vice of humanity,” Mr. Kusworm
said.
The speaker quoted Hebrew
freely from the talmud to bring
out the theme of his address. He
explained in detail the work of
B’nai B’rith as a vital defense or
ganization which through safe
guarding the principles of democ
racy also assures our citizenry of
