In announcing the plans for the

truly magnificent goal.”
Mr. Brest pointed out that only
sacrificial giving by all sections
of the community w’ould meet ade

“A few short months ago the
numbers of the homeless and the

Mr. Brest pointed out, “Bnt today

their possessions must now be
numbered literally in the millions.
For the silent partner of war in
these dark days has been the vi

which has accompanied the invad

frontiers!”
Beginning with Sunday’s break
fast, all three divisions consist

youth’s divisions, wall begin their
actual campaign. The women’s di

Hackel; the men’s division by
Herbert P. Meyerson; and the
youth’s division by Dr. Carl Hack

The Initial Gifts division, which
has been under the personal lead

of the Council, and Alexander
Brest, chairman of the drive, has
completed most of its pre-cam
paign soliciting, but will continue
its clean-up campaign during the
next few weeks.
