In his dedication address. Rabbi Alfred Wolf explained that the pulpit of Temple Emanu-El was to be dedicated, by a plaque affixed to it, “In Memory of the Men and Women of all faiths who gave their lives for Freedom of Worship.” While in religious wars of the past he pointed out, men died for the freedom of their particular form of worship, our age has recognized that there is only one Freedom of Worship. The enemy of one faith will, ultimately, enslave them all. The present struggle is a religious war inasmuch as men and women, recognizing the uni ty of Freedom of Worship are giving their lives for this Free dom. It would, therefore, be im possible to dedicate the pulpit either to the Jewish men and women who died, or to the men and women who died for the freedom of Jewish worship. All died together for the one ideal and thus, in dying, overcame their differences in truest brother hood. The pulpit should be dedi , cated to the preaching of true brotherhood not by a denying or erasing of enriching differences but by bridging them in under standing, tolerance, and love. Mr. C. Davis Turner, President of Temple Emanu-El, who had donated the pulpit and the dedi ! catory plaque, unveiled this monu ment to brotherhood. Mr. Joe Kraselsky, Vice-President, ac cepted it into the guardianship of the Congregatibn. A reception followed. iEDWIN JONES ANNOUNCES Edwin L.
