The Hebrew University is NOT included in the United Jewish Appeal in any city. 2. A half-million dollars ($500,000) is needed at once if the University is to remain open this spring, the 30th anniversary o i s founding. 3. The Hebrew University is training skilled personnel—in agri culture, in medicine, in education, in industry, in civil service for the building up of the Jewish state. 4. The Hebrew University now enables over 100 former Dis placed Persons to prepare for service in Palestine industry and agriculture. 5. The Hebrew University has already provided vast technologi cal skill to convert backward land into modern colonies. 6. The Hebrew University has always been a major force for goodwill and understanding between Jews and Arabs, Christian and Mohammedan, both within and outside Palestine. v 7. The Hebrew University is a private institution, with small endowments, depending wholly upon support from individuals and organizations who realize it is the embodiment of the spiritual and intellectual tradition of the whole Jewish people.
