THE SOUTHERN JEWISH WEEKLY
Augusta Boy
Making Good
At U. of Go.
Mr. Melvin Harelik, son of Mr
and Mrs. Sol H. Harelik of
Augusta, has returned to the Uni
versity of Georgia School of Ad
vertising, after spending the
spring holidays with his parents.
He has just completed his work
as Business Manager # of the “Red
and Black,” the weekly news
publication of the University of
Georgia, for the winter quarter.
Diming his term as Business
Manager he played a very impor
tant part in making a success of
the extra large edition of the
“Red and Black” comemorating
the One Hundred Fiftieth anni
versary of the founding of the
University of Georgia. Previous
to his serving as Business Mana
ger, he served as Assistant Busi
ness Manager and held other im
portant jobs on the staff. He is
the only Augusta boy to hold an
important place on the “Red and
B)ack” staff for quite a number
of years.
Besides his work on the 'lied
and Black,” Melvin also holds an
important post on the staff of*the
“Pandora” for the current year
which began last fall and ends
this coming June at which time
he expects to graduate his course
at the University.
Also, Melvin was one of the
very few Jewish boys to hold im
portant position on the “Red and ;
Black” staff in a good many
fears.
