Abe replied it was ail in the

a president and a prime minister

"So what?” Morris jeered.
“What are you talking about?
Why will gentlemen buy new
suits because there is an Israel
army and an Israel navy and ar.
Israel budget? Abe, you’re a big-,
ger fool than I thought.”
But Abe, rure of his prophetic
wisdom, felt he could ignore
being called a fool . . . "Morris."
he said, "you can't see any far
ther than your nose. But can't
you understand what it all
means? With Israel standing like
a nation already, it means thatj
the Messiah is on the way and
shortly will be with us. That's

Morris said. "So what? Let’s sup
pose all the dead people do start
living again, and how will that}
r.elp you and me in the clothing
trade? Will that get us jobs when
people aren't buying new suits?”
Abe laughed in the hearty way
he. as optimist, always laughed
. . . "Morris, how can anybody be
so dumb as you? Can't you un
derstand nothing?"
"What's there to understand?”
"Think. Morris: All these dead
people getting up from their
graves and living again. They
will all need new suits, after
being so long in their graves.
And that's where you and me
come in. It means a lot of work,
making new suits for them. There
will be work for us for years."
“Maybe you think you're smart.
Abe.” Morris replied. “But did
you stop to think that among the
dead people there must be a lot
of tailors, and if all the dead oid
tailors start living again they will
all be looking for jobs and can't
you see what that will mean to
you and me. It will mean com
petition. Abe—millions of tailors
| coming out of their graves to take
I jobs away from us.”
Bui Abe, always on the bright
side, had the quick, cheering an
swer . . . "Morris, you're a big
ger fool than I thought. Don't
you see. all those -dead tailors
have been out of work h long
time and when they come back
they won't know nothing about
the latest styles in men's suits.
How can they know? Our jobs
i will be safe and there'll be plenty
of work for us. A good time is
coming for us and our boys will I
yet be great doctors,"

Mason, the New York teller of
Jewish stories. Recently he told
stories all evening at Adath Is
rael Synagogue in our town.

Soviet anti-Jewish policy has in
tensified the hostility of the Arab
states to Israel, the American
Z.cnist Council, which represents
all groups in the Zionist move
ment in the United States, re
ported last week in an analysis
of public opinion on the Prague
trial where the Communist cam
paign against Israel opened.
Analyzing the implications of
the trial and its aftermath, the
Council warned that “there is
every indication that the Arab
