CLASSIFIED ADS FOR RENT Unfurnished apart ment, four roomB and bath., Apply 112 Main street, Mrs. H. B. Porter. 11-26-St. "WE ARE PENITENT. There is no note on the harp of Gabriel more welcome to Jehovah than the cry of a penitent for mercy, or the supplication of a child for grace. Seneca says he who is pen itent is almost innocent. So we feel that in asking Brother Benjamin, of the Ocala Star to forgive us for any deviation from accuracy in drawing inferences from his editorial obser vations on the estimable O. V. rail road that we indicate penitence that may absolve us from further correc tion. He charges us with failing to pre sent his attitude clearly. We are sorry, and if Brother Benjamin will write it all out, hang on his own copy hook we promise to print every line of it so that the good people of Palatka and Putnam county can know just where the Star rises and -where it sits. Here is what Brother Benjamin prints in the last copy of the Star: "The feline is out of the wallet. The Star has at least emerged from its low visibility and admitted that its motive in opposing further oper ation of the O. V. s because when the little hay burners are tied to the rails near Silver Springs, Ocala gets mote trade, trade that formerly rode the O. V. into Palatka to do their trad ing. We're pulling on the other end of the rope. Wp want them over here. Palatka News.' " "Again the News misrepresents tho Star, and again it evades the question. The Star has not opposed further operation of the 0. V., and this time the News has no excuse for saying so. If Palatka doesn't want help from Ocala in making the O. V. a paying road, why has she sent delegation after delegation over here to ask help? But if Palatka thinks she can be the whole works, Ocala won't be in her way. Go to it, Friend Guerry." In the same issue he R. S. V. P.'s t-i our invitation to him to break b -0-1(1 and trim a gobbler on Thanks giving day as per: "Gonde Guerry of the Palatka .News must be having a good Thanks giving. He invited us to go over and talk turkey with him today. Alas, we haven't the airplane fare. l!ut we hoj.e Friend Guerry and his lively little newspaper, and all their friends, i. e., tho people of Palatka, will have a Goode time." But the old road will begin to rumble today, Brother Benjamin, fhe taxes will be paid and you and I can consummate that long desire, on the part of this editor at least, to meet in person and go off down on the old creek and swap a few yarns NOTICE.
