CLASSIFIEDl)ISPLAY Crews Of French Ships In Service Of Britain Are Warned By Germany BERLIN, Aug. 9.—(JP)—Respon sible German sources warned the crews of French ships and planes in the service of England today that they “have no claim to treatment as war prisoners.’’ The statement came in answer to a British admiralty announcement that French warships and planes now in English possession will fly the French national colors as well as a blue flag with a red cross in the center. “The blue flag with a red cross is not a recognized state flag which justifies war acts by vessels flying it,” these sources said. "Therefore warships and airplanes with the French national colors and pretend ing to fight for France are guilty of a breach of the armistice treaty, and put themselves outside applica tion of the laws of war.” HAPPINESS, C. 0. D. (Continued from Page Eight) she darted, shrieking through the bushes, with Jeremy in pursuit. She made for the house. Her legs, slender but strong, had the smooth co-ordination to run swiftly, but for once (perhaps for the first time, young Tucker was wrought up. He dug in. He drove his own legs, and half way across the lawn he caught her, but in that mom ent she tripped and both of them fell and rolled. The grass was clean and wholesome. Both of them lay there and laughed. And in Jeremy Tucker now, there was no whit of embarrassment, nothing of his scholarly reticence. They sat five minutes in the sun shine and talked, and then they walked,' swinging hands together, back to the mansion. They passed Bill Bailey on the porch, spoke and yet seemed hardly to notice him. Certainly they caught none of the quiet resignation in Bill’s dark eyes. Or was it, pehaps, not resignation to fate, but a smould ering jealousy which threatened to slip beyond his control? 3 (To Be Continued CLASSIFIED DISPLAY RESTORE ORIGINAL LUSTRE TO YOUR CAR FINISH Wax Prep A Aft 10 Oz.
