Rehder is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rehder of Wilmington. Miss Perkins, Li. VanDyke Wed The marriage of Miss Meredith Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Perkins of Sunset Park, be came the bride of Lieut. George G. VanDyke, U. S. Army of Grand Rapids, Mich., on February 7, at 8:30 o’clock in the evening in the Burton Heights Methodist church in Grand Rapids. The Rev. L. B. Niles, pastor of the church officiated, and the vows were spoken before an altar flank ed with palms and large baskets of white flowers, interspersed with branched candelabra holding cathe dral tapers. ' Before the ceremony a program of nuptial music was rendered by the church organist, and Mrs. Shep ard sang “O Promise Me’’ (De Koven). The Wedding March from Lohengrin was played for the pro cessional. The double - ring cere mony was used, and immediately following the prayer by the pastor, the couple remained kneeling at the altar, while Mrs. Shepard sang “The Lord’s Prayer” (Malotte). Mendelssohn’s traditional Wedding “The Lord’s Prayer” (Malotte). Mendelssohn’s traditional Wedding March was used for the recession al. William H. Marcus, II, of Grand Rapids, was best man. The bride entered the church alone, and wore a white slipper satiri wedding gown fashioned with sweetheart neckline, long fitted sleeves, and a long fitted bodice. The full gathered skirt of silk net over satin extended into a train. Her finger-length veil was of silk net, bordered with lace, and was held in place by a coronet of or ange blossoms. She carried a show er bouquet of white roses and car nations. Miss Doreen VanDyke sister of the bride-groom was the bride’s maid-of-honor and wore a beauti ful dress of light pink net over satin which was fashioned along similar lines as the one worn by the bride. She carried an arm bou quet of pink roses and snapdragons tied with pink tulle. Mrs. T. VanDyke, mother of the bridegroom, wore a gown of black ri'Pnp anrl n f'nritnoo red roses. Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bridegroom, 103 Elm street, Grand Rapids, Mich., for a small circle of family and friends. Laler the couple left by automo bile for a short wedding trip to ■ Holland, Mich., returning to Grand • Rapids for a brief visit before Lt. t VanDyke reported for further duty. The bride for the past several years has been employed by the People's Building and Loan As ciation of Wilmington. Mrs. Van " Dyke will make her home with her . parents in Sunset Park. Lt.
