Late this week the pontiff suf fered a slight cold, with hoarseness and some fever. His physician sug gested that he cancel all special and public audiences requiring him to leave his private library or to make addresses. Today he still was limiting his audiences. One of ihose he saw was Cardinal elect Enrique Pla Y Deniel, primate of Spain. While Pope Pius’ condition is not causing undue concern, it is evi dent that the war years have taken toll of the man who on March 2 will celebrate both his 70th birth day anniversary and the seventh anniversary of his ascension to the papacy. Body Of Young Man Recovered From River CHARLOTTE, Feb. 9.—UP)— The body of William Shields, 22, was taken from the Catawba this morning and brought to an end th« search for the bodies of four young men and women who lost i ■" their lives when their motor boat capsized last Sunday. Yesterdaiy county police and Charlotte firemen recovered the body of William C. Stewart, 22. Last Monday the bodies of Miss Sue Tummire, 19, and Miss Helen Overcash, 20, were found.
