the Commercial division in the
solicitation of funds in the Catholic
hospital drive, Harriss Newman,

JERUSALEM, April 3—(A5)—One
Jew was killed and 30 were captur
ed Wednesday after a running gun
battle with a combined police and
military force searching Southern
Palestine for saboteurs who blew
up three railroad bridges, an offi
cial announcement said.

Warned To Register Them
All persons in Southeastern North
Carolina who possesses "war sou
venir” firearms must register them
with the Alcohol Tax Unit office in
the Customhouse here, Lon Lowe,
ATU leader, announced yesterday.
Failure to do so is punishable by
a $200 fine or a five-year imprison
ment, or both, Howe said.
No fee is charged for registering
the firearms, and the ATU agents
will, upon request, render all such
firearms harmless.
The shipbuilding industry was
the biggest user of stcV in war
time years, consuming more than
35,500.000 tons.
