Sorosis In Charge The campaign in New Hanover is under the sponsorship of the North Carolina Sorosis. It began two weeks ago, and since that time “substantial” reports have been made by the various groups mak ing solicitations. Mrs. Ward said that checks for donations to the drive should be made payable to Mrs. J. R. Chas ten, Box 825, Wilmington. Beach Canvas At Wrightsville and Carolina beaches, a group of girls will make house-to-house canvasses for funds for the drive. The day will also be set aside at the beaches, and in Wilmington as “tag day”, when workers will solic it contributions from persons on the streets. Government estimates of the na tion’s citrus crop for 1946 indicate it will be 188,480,000 boxes; about j 10,000,000 more than last year. -1 Vi', AT. * Vilju til M i'tl mj rA A U . *0 r. IT A.
