tured an illegal 50-gallon steam
type liquor still, 300 gallons of
molasses mash, a 1942 Mercury
automobile, and the two Negroes
who owned the bottlegging equip
ment.
The capture was made at 10 o’
clock yesteiday morning in the
Long Creek section of Pender
county. H. A. Croom, deputy sher
iff of Pendei county, assisted in
the raid, authorities stated.
The Negroes, Arthur Wells and
John Junior Holmes, both of Fay
etteville, were put under $500 bond,
