Harmless Canister Gives Scotland Yard Real Hunt LONDON, April 17 — (U.R) — A menacing-looking, but harmless, cannister with a time fuse at tached was discovered today in the lobby of Charing Cross postoffice, but Scotland Yard wasn’t sure whether it was planted there by the Jewish underground or a prac tical joker. The police also Received a tele phone call today saying that the Malden Lane Telephone exchange, about 10 miles from the center of London, would be blown up at 3 p. m. A careful search showed there was no bomb in the building. Whatever the origin of the can nister and the fake warning, Scot land Yard now had no doubt that the Jewish underground planted the powerful and real bomb that was discovered yesterday in the Colonial office. The yard announced that an anonymous telephone call had en abled its special branch officers to identify the maker of the bomb as a “prominent Jewish extrem ist.” Bomb Traced Chief Inspector E. W. Jones of the yard’s special branch took off for Paris tonight to trace down the bomb and try to catch the maker. It had been determined that the bomb was made in France and im ported into Britain. Police and cotland Yard agents were still searching London for the well-dressed woman of “Jewish appearance” who was believed to have planted the bomb in a wash room. She was said to be about 25, with “furry hair.” 180—Legal EXECUTRIX NOTICE TO CREDITORS Having qualified as Executrix of the Estate of C.
