RAILROAD LIENS HIT ANOTHER LOW Losses For The Day Run From Fractions To Around Two Points NEW YORK. May 8 — (/P) _ The rail section of the bond mar ket slipped into new low price ter ritory for the year again today. In scanty trace • iosses of inac tions t° around 'wo pointy pre dominated among the carries. A handful of industrials backed 'up a notch or two while utilities held uip fairly well. Volume of $2,940,000 compared with $2,890,000 Wednesday, which Was a one-month low in turnover The stock market, bogged down in sluggish trade, again offered little guidance to bond dealers. The wary attitude that has chai acterized so many sessions thi year continued to prevail an inves tors ignored most current business development and turned a skepti cal eye pn the future. The new security market, whici has digested ■ hundreds of million; of dollars of issues thus far ir. the month, took a breathing speli with only a few small sales re ported.
