FERGUS ESTATE VALUED AT $47,000 Musselman Will Leaves Entire Estate Of $10,000 To His Widow H. C. Fergus, 404 South Fifth »treet who died June 23, left an estate valued at more than $47,000. Letters cf administration on file in the county clerk's office dis closed yesterday that of the total, $27,268 was in personal property and $20,200 in real estate. Named idministrator of the estate were •wo sons, ft, L. and I. E. Fergus. They and two other sons are heirs. The entire estate of George T. Musselman of Wilmington was l&ft to his widow, Emma, in the Will which has been tiled tor pre-a.i. The estate is val: mately $10,000, probate proceed ings, revealed. Tr.e widow of ivir. Musselman, who died June 15, was named executrix, n Non-Support Case In Recorders Court William H. Williams, 20, Negro, must pay Maggie McKoy, 16, Negress, $5 a week for support of their two-year-old child. Judge Winfield Smith made that ruling yesterday in compromising on suggestions of attorneys. City Solicitor James King said it ought to be $6 a week. PHILCO PREVIEW GIVEN DEALERS Southeastern Towns Rep resented At Sales Meet Held At Blue Top Seventy Philco dealers from five Southeastern North Carolina towns last night previewed new home ra dios and phonographs models in the 1948 line, plus other appliances at the Blue Top Lodge. The dealers were guests of Buck’s Distributing company, wholesale distributors for Philco products. The meeting was opened by Walt er Eichelberger, ' salesmanager of the Philco corporation, who an nunced that Philco sales amounted to over $100,000,000 for the first half of 1947, the biggest year in the company’s history. Eichelberger demonstrated the new features of the 1948 home radio and phonograph line, includ ing 13 console and four table radio phonographs, a portable automatic record player, a new radio port able, 16 table radio models, and three farm radio receivers. Herb Riband, of Philco advertis ing, described the new model 773 refrigerator, and introduced the five new Philco automobile radio models, designed for greater clari ty, tone, power and performance than any previous auto radio. Riband outlined the program by Philco which will include increased newspaper advertising, radio and national magazine campaigns. He stressed the fact that Philco, al ready doing by far the greatest amount of advertising in the radio and appliance industry, plans to step up its program still further during the coming year. cal Simmons-Nott airport is made adequate to meet requirements of the Civil Aeronautics association for the large, four-engine, 46-pas senger planes with which the com pany is replacing its twin-engine, 14-passenger Lodestars. L. \yade and Ronald Lane related that residents in the 100 block on Harrison street had com plained to them over the chang ing in the numooring of dwellings. Three weeks ago a council meet ing was held to hear protests When, no persons appeared and only one written protest was re ceived the council vo’ed to go ahead with renumbering of hous es to make the city’s street num bers uniform. Uncle Sam's postal officials have approved the plan of uniform numbering which is in use in virtually every first class city in the nation.
