The Post-exam dance given by the Me norah Society of the University of Min nesota Tuesday evening, attracted a con siderable number of students who were bent on enjoying themselves after going through the ordeal of examination week. With each succeeding year the affairs of the Minnesota Menorah are gaining in popularity among the student body, who are becoming more and more appreciative of the truly social opportunities presented by the society in addition to its cultural work. Miss Helen Freed, of 263 Aldrich ave. N., was hostess to the Del Karta Klub Sunday afternoon. Cards were played at two tables, Miss Ruby Schaker making the highest number of points. A surprise party was given by the La dies' Auxiliary of the Adath Yeshurun Synagogue in honor of Mrs. Geo. Suskind, 1812 Elliot ave., the secretary of the or ganization, who is leaving next Tuesday with Mr. Suskind to make their home in New York City. Mrs. Suskind was pre sented with a dresser set. This playlet will be produced in connection with the Y. M. A. entertainment, the first Sunday in March. Mrs. M. R. Skoll, a pioneer resident of Minneapolis, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the age of 75. She is survived by her hus band and two daughters, Mrs. R. Schul man and Mrs. M. Jackson. Mrs. Skoll was an active member of the Kenesseth Israel Synagogue, and of a number of lodges. Representative of Jewish Consumptive Relief Association of California In Twin Cities. Mr. Abraham Chartock, a social worker of high standing in this country is now visiting in the Twin Cities on behalf of the Jewish Consumptive Relief of Cali fornia in Los Angeles, in an effort to se cure additional support for the institution of which he is the field secretary. The association has the endorsement of Jacob H. Schiff and is doing a creditable work in its community. The institution now cares for fifty patients and has applica tions for one hundred more which cannot be accepted due to lack of accommoda tions. The South Side Talmud Torah changed their regular meeting night from the sec ond Monday of the month to the second Thursdav.
