S. military occupation zone of Germany will be virtually elim inated for all but the “hard core” of fanatical Nazis by a law just proposed to the German Ministers by General Lucius D. Clay, U. S. Military Governor. Under the terms of the proposed law, about half of those awaiting trial by de nazification courts will go free. This will effect not only “fol lowers” who were merely nominal members of the Nazi party, but also many now in Class 2, or more enthusiastic Nazis, making a total of from 350,000 to 400,000 Nazis who will escape trial. The only ones left for court procedure will be those whose offense on record is so bad that they must be classed as criminal. THB ARIZONA POST SAM ENLISTED TO SEE JULIAN— SAW THE PACIFIC! Sam says: “I was only 45 then and figured I could do a pretty good job.” Sure enough—he enlisted and it wasn’t long before Sam Kipnis was with his offspring in the 396th Bomb Squadron, stationed at Sac ramento, California. Evidently he was “pretty good”, for soon he was the first-sergeant of the outfit. And son Julian was holding down as a flying crew chief. Then, in 1944, came time to ship overseas to the Central Pacific. Routine physical examinations proved that Sam was in tip-top condition. But not son Julian! Some ailment prevent ed him from making the grade physically for overseas duty. Again Sam took it calmly. “Well, if it has to be, it has to be.” So Sam Kipnis, who enlisted at 45 to be with his only boy, shipped overseas with a bomb squadron, headed straight for DAVID MISHKIND Certified Public Accountant ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF HIS NEW OFFICE at 230 N.
