As in years past the Israel exhibit at the YWCA was about the most popular from amongst those displaying the arts and crafts of various countries in celebration of World Fellowship Week re cently. IZFA members participated in an entertainment program number that literally “took down the house.” Looking at exhibit items are 1. to r.: Mmes. Davidson, Hyman Epstein. —(Sedley Photo) Arizona Post, December 1, 1950 Organizations TEMPLE MEN’S CLUB Something new in entertainment will be presented at the next dinner meet ing of the club Dec. 11 at the Temple. Irving Kipnis, local attorney and fencing instructor will present an ex hibition of fencing, with a short talk on the fine points of the game. Hillary Sandoval, fencing instructor at UA, Bob Ritter, A1 Marshik, UA students, Bruce Birch and A1 Rigoli, VMCA, will illustrate the sport. Aaron Wander and Jerry Gibson will demonstrate hand-to-hand balancing, weight-lifting and strength stunts. Both are well-known weight-lifters. Wander is doubles hand-balancing champion of Arizona. Nancy Crowley, talented child acrobatic dancer, will also perform. TUCSON AZA Delegates to the regional convention were Larry Fishman, Harry Nadler, Jack Levkowitz, Bob Lukacs, Simon Lakritz. Don Freeman is the new secretary succeeding Gary Lotto. Members will meet at the Center Dec. 3. Chapter defeated A1 Jolson chapter in regional semi-final basket ball tilt. WORKMEN’S CIRCLE Public is invited to a Chanukah party to be held Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Center, A skit from Sholem Aleichem’s “Mazeltov” with Mmes. Aaron Leitner, Sol Silverberg and Morris Wanger will be presented. In additions there will be songs and recitations, also square dancing. Auxiliary will be hos tesses. Hi-light will be the second annual banquet Dec. 24 at which I. Tabachin sky. exec. dir. of the Jewish Labor Committee will be guest speaker. GIRLS-BOYS CLUBS There will be a combined Chanukah party Dec. 4at 7 p.m. Excitement will be increased with a Chanukah quiz program. Members invite prospective members to come and extend an Invi tation to youngsters between nine and thirteen. Boys and girls clubs hold one joint meeting a month. Besides social activi ties. in the Girls Club, there is choral and dance work as well as an educa tional aim. Ida Danzig is sponsor.
