FOREIGN PERIODICALS. REPUBLICATION Or W? LONDON QUARTERLY RE\ 1LW, EDINBURGH REVIEW, NORTH BRITISH REVIEW, WEST MIX ST F.R REVIEW, BLACKWOOD'S EDINBURGH MAGAZINE. THE above Periodicals are reprinted in ?. ?orK, immediately on their arrival pj the British steamers, in a beautiful dear type, on fine white naper, and are faithful copies of the originals? Blackwood's Magazine being au cxact fap-simiUc of the Edinburgh edition. ? ... The wide-spread fame of these splendid peri odicals renders it needless to say much in their praise. As literary organ*, they stand far in ad vance of any works of a similar stamp now pub lished, while the political complexion of each is marked by a dignity, candor, and forbeyance, not often found in works of a party character. They embrace the views of the three great parties in England?Whig, Tory, and Radical. 41 Blackwood" and the " London Quarterly" arc Tory, the " Edinburgh Review" Whig, and the "Westminster," Radical. The "North British Review" is of a more Religious cast, and has foi its editors Sir David Brewster and Dr. llanua, son in-law of the late Dr. Chalmers, of Edinburgh. Its literary articles are of the first order, and it is lib eral in its politics. The prices of the repriuts arc less than one third of those of the foreign copies; and, while they are equally well got up, they afford all that advantage to the .imtricou over the English reader. terms: Payment to be made in advance, For any one of the four Reviews, (3 00 per ann. N. B.?The postage on all the*: periodicals is reduced, by the late Post Officc law, to about one tlurd the former rales, making a very important sa ving in the expense to mail subscribers.
