It was, however, found that in May, 1941, during Austin Fraser s term of office, certain Tax Deed Lands were sold to one Joseph Gussenhaven, and at the time of the purchase Mr. Güssen haven issued his check for the full consideration of the lands be bought namely $432.13. According to the records only $86.43 of this check was taken into account by the then County Treasurer* as evidenced by Receipt Form A104, Number 212. Mr. Fraser is now in Germany, being arrn F' kut it might be well for the Commissioners to instruct the County Attorney to file claim with Mr. Fraser's surety for $349 80 being the difference between the check which Mr. Fraser received and the amount accounted for by him. Funds on deposit were amply covered by pledge of legal collateral. CLERK AND RECORDER'S OFFIÇE: Mr. G. C. Earle Clerk and Recorder FEES COLLECTED.
