PACKING HOUSE STRIKE
EFFECTS LOCAL MEN
Due to the packing house strike
it has become necessary to curtail
the box factory operations at the
Mill, stated Elmer Switzer, Jr., per
sonnel manager. The operations
have been shortened from a two
shift basis to a single shift.
The shut down effects approxi
mately 15 men. The official stated
that the company plans to place
these men temporarily in other
positions.
