The camp was held at Pioneer Park with Mrs Rod ney Peterson directing. On account of our short growing sea sons, this fall is the time to pre pare exhibits for next year's fair. All the exhibits showed improve ment over former years, with an especially fine floral show being made. The fine arts and dress good department had at least a half lar ger display than formerly. The dis play of livestock was good, but there is plenty more room for a much larger display in this depart ment, though the quality of stock shown was good. The prize win ners will be published in next week's Western News. The address delivered Monday evening by Congressman Mike Maiwfield, who is the democratic candidate for re-election to con gress from this district, was a spirited attack against congress. He praised labor and while discussing dams in Montana, stated that West ern Montana contains at least 10% of the potential water power in the United States. The annual event is showing; a healthy growth in interest, and the fair exhibits have reached the point where a pavilion is said to be al most a necessity for future shows.
