track connects with the feed room and
runs directly to the olio, placed at one
corner of the building. This csrrlei
enables the farmer to carry the en
slluge, small grain and roughage di
rectly to the msngers. Along each wall
of the barn is a Utter alley, at*,
equipped with su overhead carrier ays
t-1 the tracks leading to the manure
piles at either side of one end of
the building.
There are reasons, and good ona.
too, for this Interior arrangement. Ii
will be noted that the side wall* of the
barn contain a number of window*
These admit sunshine, which strike*
the gutter at the rear of the stalls,
helping to purify the manure. They
also permit plenty of fresh air In such
a wny as to not be Injurious to the
animals. On either side of the born,
adjoining the doors, are vent shafts for
