The order of exercises will be Pro cession, Oration and Dinner; to conclude with a Grand Masonic Ball at the Eldridge House in the evening. The "National" Democratic press of the Territory have no end of complaining as to the intolerance of the Republican slate of Massachusetts, in regard to the "two yean residence" law. " The action of Massachusetts, they saddle upon tin Republicans everywhere, as a part of their platform. "Sauce for the coose is sauce for the gander." Three years ago, South Caro lina, whose Democracy is above suspicion Slid question, adopted a law in referet.ee to the naturalization of foreigners, 'pre cisely similar to that of Massachusetts in fact, the law of the latter is almost a liter al copy of the South Carolina odious en actment. ''Restricting the privileges of foreigners" is, then, a Democratic doctrine, a "national" one. Fatal Affray at Marrsville, K. T. William Murray, from Hardin county, Wa, aud C. C. Stanley, of Virginia, at tempted to cross tbe ferry of the Big Blue t that place, on the 21st of May, for a leas amount than the regular price. They drove their teams upon the ferry boat, and crossed over, when they were met by U. D. Williams and a Freuchman, named Valetore, who demanded the price of ferriage. They refused to pay it, when Williams and Valetore fired their revol. resulting in the death of Murray and Stanley. Valetore and ; Williams have fled. More Qold- We find in the Leavenworth Ledger of May 26: h, further news from the mines. Mr. Williams, 'Asst. Superintendent of Jones & Russell's Express, repoils activi ty in the mountain diggings and confi- dent expectations as to success. Fine specimens of quartz rock had been brought from tho mountains, and dust and shot gold were daily exchanged at Denver City and Auraria for provisions. If he had had coin, he could have pur chased thousands of dollars of dust and shot gold. ' Mr. Williams met 8,000 persons on the central route bound for the mines, who were progressing finely. A Miss Way and Prof. Wilson in at tempting an aerial voyage from New Orleans to Jackson, Miss., had their pro gress checked by the anchor of the bal loon being caught in a tree.
