Fred returned in the evening, but his mother and sisters remained, where they will visit Tom Oliver, landlord of bake House, for a few days. H. K. Read of Spokane, representing the Plano Harvesting Machine Co., spent Sunday in the city. Mr. Head said it was wonderful the amount of harvesting machinery that has so far been disposed of to farmers oil the reservation. Kunkle & Maligns, the Plano Co.'s agents at Spal ling, have sold eighty-five binders. J. N. Stacy, accompanied S. G. Ander son and H. N. Nelson to Spalding Mon day, on an exploring trip for a flour mill site. The two latter gentlemen have been iu this vicinity for the past two weeks, and represent Hutchinson, Minnesota, capitalists who desire to locate a large mill in this wheat belt. From Spalding they will go to Oro Fino. Joe 15. Trousdale is sojourning at bake Waha for a few days and later on expects to go from the lake towards Warrens, where he will meet his old Illinois friend Gov John R. Tanner, who is en route to Warrens looking after his mining proper ties that he owns at that camp. Joe's friends say that at one time he enjoyed »he distinction of being a full fledged member of the third house of the Illinois State legislature. Prosecuting Attorney Danford left Sunday tor his mines that are situated on Salmon river. D. D. Burnham, who is also interested left Monday afternoon , and will overtake Mr. Danford at Slick P°o, and together with pack horses and a goodly lot of provisons, they will con tinue their journey. These gentlemen have a group of mines which they have been developing, and expect now to double the force and push the develop ment. D. B.
