NO HOME WASHING PROCESS, NO MATTER HOW CAREFUL, CAN DO THIS — BECAUSE IT REQUIRES FAR MORE WATER, MAINTAINED AT BACTERIA DESTROYING TEMPERATURES. Iii every clothes hamper of Boiled wear ing apparel and bed linen lurk the germs of dinoane. Physicians and public health oflleerH are aware of the infections which bacteria may cause. Yet strange as it may seem, thousands of housewives believe, and honestly enough, that home washing cleanses and purilies their laundering whereas the truth is that they are frequently inviting contagion. Instead of sterilizing the laundry, the bacteria in soiled linen is spread to every article in the family washing thus ex posing members of the family to infec tion. To provide sterilization and pasteur ization, it is necessary to wash and rinse soiled garments in far more water at higher temperatures than is practical at home. When your laundry is sent to any one of the lie tier Laundries listed below, you , can he certain that your clothes are made hygienieally clean and pure that health destroying bacilli are removed - that when they pass through the last rinse water, the water is as clean and pure as most drinking water. Think of it! The rinse water is almost entirely free from bacteria.as clean as the water you drink. No wonder housewives, who are alert to take advantage of progressive im provements which make for better health and comfort, are sending all their wash ing to Waterbury’s Better Laundries.
