WAR IN EUROPE
Dogs of war are loosened in the Balkans.
The armies of # Bulgaria and Turkey
engage in armed conflict along the
Macedonian frontier.
[Special Dispatch to Daily Alaskan.]
London, April II. ? The dogs of war have been loosened in southeastern Europe,
and what may result in the rupture of the armed truce of the continent has begun, The
Bulgarians and the Turks have begun actual hostilities along the Macedonian frontier.
The fighting began early this morning and it has been kept up at intervals during the
?lay,
I-arge bodies of Bulgarians are strengthing the emplacements at Tashligo, Prepolye
alid Priloy. They are also mounting heavy artillery along the Bosnian frontier.
Yesterday it was announced that the Bulgarian representative had threatened to
withdraw from Constantinople unless an agreement were signed by Turkey today. The
begining of hostilities is taken to indicate that the Turkish government refused to assent
to the agreement desired by Bulgarians.

BULLION IS VERY RICH
[Special Dispatch to Daily Alaskan. J
Whitelioree April 11 ? Word was received here today of a phenominally rich strike
made on No. 45 below discovery on Bullion creek. The paystreak was struck on bedrock,
and is three feet deep. Those working the claim have drifted in a cross-cut for 27 feet
and are still in the pay streak. Its width is not yet known, but it must exceed 30 feet at
least. This great body of pay gravel through its whole three feet in depth and the full
27 feet iu width is running from 20 to 80 cents to the pan.
The results on this claim have caused the greatest enthusiasm on the creek and
with claim owners here at Whitehorse.
