Elect Adams asks the suotdme court to open all the ballot boxes from Denver and to count all the ballo^*ihat are regular and to throw out those which are irregular. He says be courts a lull and fair investigation- into the election and that he is willing to stand by the result. He has no tear but that a fair investigation will disclose the fact that he and a democratic legislature have been chosed to ofHce. MR. The presents to the bride^we're very numerous a d many of them costly and beautiful. Mr. and Mrs. Barragar are among | the most popular members of Skagway sxriety. The former has been a trusted employe of the \Y. P. & Y . R. for several years and has a host of friends throughout the north. The bride has lived in Skagway for many years and her many graces and charming man ners have won a warm place for her in the hearts of a great number of ad mirers and friends. PICTURE snow WAS VfRY GOOD The exhibition of Yukon views and moving: pictures which took place at the Presbyterian church last night was excellent and very highly appreciated by those who were present. In an interview, N. B. Solner, formerly cashier of the Bank of ('ape Nome, roasts Alaskan juries. He said: ' It is strange a jury cannot be se cured io Alaska that will convict a man chafed with a crime against the gov ernment. The evidence in the last Beasley case was stronger thai', it ever was, yet he was promptly acquitted." Mr. Solner has just returned from Alaska where he was a witness In the trial of Beasley. The federal frand jury has returned sevCS indictments against prominent men of this state for complicity in the land fraud casss. Senator Mitchell has asked leave to testify before the grand jury again so he can enter a defense to the accusa tions which have been made against him. Hopkins, of this city, has been called down by the de partment of justice for working in the interest of the senatorial candidacy of Millionaire Sweeaey, cf this place.
