Gunnison, of Ringhamton, to be a federal judge in Alaska in place of one of the -iidges recently removed. \lr Gunnison was formerly a news paper man. employed on the Bingham ton Republican. He was graduated from the Cornell law school and soon afterward became referee in bankruptcy for the Binghamton district. He will be one of the youngest judges on the bench, but the president can feel assured that this time he is sending to Alaska a judge who can be relied on to give the territory the honest and efficient administration which it appears greatly to need. ?
