To-day is dear, and the water is felling rapidly. Bn BLUFF, January 25th.— The river is still high but slowly receding. It is at present eighteen feet above low water, hav ing decreased two (eet since morning. For three days the river had been about twenty feet. Two men, attempting to come to town to-day from Coin's ranch, were upset from a ratt in a slough about a mile from here. I'ktaum \, January 25th.— Kotwitbstand- I ing the heavy ram last night, teams began i to assemble this morning from the coun ( try for miles around, to attend the last ' rites over the remains of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Wickersham. All bostnesa houses Were closed, and hundreds were assembled on the various streets. At 10 a. m. the two hearses and Pefaloma Lodge, F. and A.M.. No. 77, Frank Fairbanks. Master, formed at the house of I. <;. Wickersham, to re ceive the remains. The procession, led by the Lodge in while aprons, proceeded to St. Johns Episoopal Church, where the impressive service was rendered by Uev. K. Watt, assisted by the choir. On ibc com pletion of the services at the church, the long tine of carriages i.roceeded to tbe cemetery. The floral offerings were ele ganl and profuse. If they do not leave then, a meeting will be called to take more severe measures. Suicide of a Laborer. San Fka.n.isco, January 25th.— The dead body of a man. subsequently identified as Alexander Calhoon, a laborer, was found this morning banging from the limb of a tret . corner of IJaker and Turk streets, just outside the Catholic Cemetery. It was cut down and taken to the Morgue. Deceased was about 4s years of age. He recently worked for Michael Heron, a coal dealer on Turk street. NEVADA. Railroad Traffic Interrupted— Man I>ro\vne<l.
