Cole, has entered suit against Mr. Gcorgo Taylor to recover $17, 217.50 with interest. Tho declaration show3 that on August 8, 1877, Mr. Taylor borrowed of Mr. Moses two 7 per cont. im provement bonds of this District of tho valuo of $1,000 each, and on Octobers, 1677, borrowed ten moro of tbo same kind, on October 23, 1877, two moro and on Sep tember 20, 1877, two more. Tbo first two wcro returned beforo tho next ten wcro borrowed, which leaves fourteen $1,000 bonds in Mr. Taylor's possession. Mr. Moses loaned tho bonds to bo used as collateral and to enablo Mr. Taylor to obtain credit with bankors, and bo promised to return them when called for. They wcro demanded, but not returned, and Mr. Tay lor paid Mr. Moses tho valuo of tho inter est coupons until January 1, 1SS1, and then gavo his noto for $277.50 for tho balanco of interest duo up to that dato, on January 22.
