ARMENIAN CHRISTMAS 1AY.
Ixical Armenians Will nold Special
Services at St. Mark's Church.
According to the Kastern calendar
the Orthodox Greek. Armenian, Nes
toiian and several other national
Christian churches observe Christmas
on January .19. The Christmas in
in Armenia this year, as in previous
five years, is without joy and cheer.
A great many villages and homes are
still in Tuins, widows and orphans
are scattered everywhere in the land,
most of them without shelter and
food. It is a black Christmas, and a
great reproach to Christian civiliza
tion of the world, when the first
Christian race in history, hasto cele
brate Christmas in want and tears.
Rev. M. Peltoklan, an . Armenian
priest, will say the Christmas Eve
mass at St. Mark's church this eve
ning at 6:30. Tomorrow morning at
9:30, the Christmas services will bo
held, at St. Mark's church and Rev.
G. M- Miasinan, the pastor of Stanley
Memorial church, will deliver the
Christmas sermon in Armenian language.
