Traffic Polemnn John Stadler tea lifted that he anw the truck on Main street with a reglatraiion piat in he believed wee for another truck. He ordered Kiewlekl to atop the truck and aaked him for the reglatraiion certificate. Kiewlekl producer! one, but th name of the truck on the cer tlflcnte did not correapond with the name on the radiator of the truck Kiewlekl was driving go Htadler plac d him under arrest, end Valentine W'lek. who claimed to be th owner of thetruck waa arreated ahnrtly after. Attorney Michael A. Sexton, repre sentlng Wlsk, asked fltadler how he knew that the truck waa not th one for which the registration was issued, and waa told that, th nam on the radiator did not correapond. Atty. Sxton maintained thnt th nam on th radiator did not determine the nam of a machine as there waa noth ing to prevent taking lh radiator from on machine and putting It on another if It would fit, by doing this, the make of the truck would not be changed. An employe of the office of the motor vehicle dpertment. produced the application made out for th truck In the name of John W. Wlsk. Nobody In court knew anybody by that name and no explanation could be found for the appearance of the name on the application blank. Val entine claimed that he owned the truck and had registered it, but he know of no John W. Wlsk. He said that it was the only truck he owned, whereupon a record was produced from the motor registry showing that a registration had been issued to Val entine Wisk for a different truck en tirely. Valentine disclaimed all knowledge of the truck registered In Ills name, saying that he did not own It and knew nothing about it. Walter Wlsk testified that the truck involved in the case before the court waa a reconstructed truck, and that the mechanism, including the engine, was that of a truck that corresponded with the name on the registration certificate. Michael Zier of 42 Broad street -was fined $5 when ho was arraigned on a charge of assaulting another roomer at he house. He told the court that he hit the man when ho called him a name that was an insult to his moth er and which he would not tolerate. Clifford Simons of 2 Day street had judgment suspended when he was ar raigned on a charge of operating a motorcycle with the cutout open. He was arrested by Patrolman Frank Parker. The court warned Simon to discon tinue operating his motorcycle in such a manner as to make unnecessary noise. Simons claimed that the cut out of the motorcycle was closed but ho was operating it with the spark re tarded which caused It to explode with loud reports.
