NEW BRITAIN DAILY HEKALU, TUESDAY, APRIL" 21, 1925. 1 REAL SECURITY . & FORJRANCE (Continued from First Page.) Th rnlnleva declaration rroinlsed harty support for tliu Icukiiu or na tions and advocated that all coun tries be made mumuers, this refer ring to Germany. The government will pursue the double object of miiintulnlne lull uc Cord with Old uMles und ilcu'loping "the world authority of the leut'ue of nations In conformity with the ulshes of all associates of veterans." "Security, arbitration und disarm ament, those are the thr condi tions upon which depends '''"i Ge neva, protocul, the first beginning of a great International peace pact. We shall remain firmly attached to these three conditions," deflated the pre mier. "We shall work to prepare for the reconciliation of Europe, with out which our civilization Is In danger of foundering." Appeals for I'nlon The declaration made a suuare appeal for a union of parties: "We Invite co-operation by all of the citizens of France who place national i sentiment above party passiun and private Interests." In proposing the maintenance of a Vatican representative, the declara tion said, "All members of the gov ernment whatever may be their doctrinal conviction are agreed on asking you in the name of general interests not to reopen a useless controversy which is harmful to the national credit." The Vatican Issue The recommendation for the Vati can envoy was made because of the "necessity for taking Into account the requirements of national har mony and the delicate conditions of world politics. While he will re spect all beliefs and are determined to avoid troubling consciences, the government remains attached to-the law separating the church and the state, and will apply it with equal quantities of tact and firmness." The government also asked the chamber to avoid discussion of the financial question which would like ly develop misunderstandings, be cause of the necessity o!
