Two conferences will vote today In
Chicago. They are the Central
Swedish and the Chicago-Northwest
conferences. Another, the Northern
Swedish, will vote today In Two
Harbors, Minn. A fourth, the 'West
ern Norwegian-Danish, will vote,
also today, at Aberdeen, Waah,, and
a fifth at Albuquerque, N. M.
The status of the two Methodist
Episcopal churches as shown by the
year book, la as follows:
Membership: Methodist 'Episcopal
church, 8,408,479; Methodist, Kpl.s
ropal church south, 2.587,803. The
average, Increase In membership In
the last eight years for the Meth
odist Episcopal church wbs 81.192,
and for the Methodist Episcopal
church south 47,304.
Dr. 'Wad also explained that the
Methodlat Episcopal church has In
'foreign lands 18 bishops, 1,218 mis
sionaries, with an additional 602 un
der the. women's board, 3.400 or
dained natle preachers, 18,873 un
ordalned native preachers, exhnrters
and altar workers: 3,000 church
houses; 10,625 Sunday school, 512,-
84 Sunday school scholars and 607,
751 ehureh members. The northern
church also In 1124 received gifts
amounting; to $100,81?. 730. Tt has
