All vessels left Guantanamo Nov. 20, arriving at their' home yards Nov. 25, except the ships going to Roslon, They will flrBt go to New York and remain there until Nov. 30, on which date they will proceed to oBston. Part of the fleet will leave their home yards and return to Guantanamo, Cuba, on Jan. 8, 1 026, while the others will remain at their yards for overhaul. J. Wagner, prosecuting at torney, declared early today. Mr. Wagner said he would go to the farm Friday and open his Inves tigation, and that If he found the situation warranted, he would lay n,ttl,or befora ths Lonoke coun ty grand jury A committee from the American Loglon and the Rotary club of Stutt gart obtained tho release of the men after paying their fines. The action followed the story of Edward Con ley, recently discharged prisoner who declared he had been Hogged threo times by an "alleged whipping boss" for failure to do assigned tasks. Similar charges were made by Law rence Downing of Indianapolis who claimed that he was beaten several times. All of the men were arrested by special agents of a railroad charged with stealing rides on trains. They were sent to the farm to work out fines. Homo asserted they had been flogged as many as 12 times. In the group was a boy of 16 and a man 55. George Geolzer, manager of the' convict, farm denied the prisoners hud been treated cruelly. I County Judge J. C. Wilcox, as ' Berts the contract under which tho 'men were sent to the convict farm lis apparently illegal and members iof the Rotary club and American Legion committee, declared they wiir try to have it cancelled.
