JAPANESE HONOR MAN
WHO SAVED A LIFE
Dr. William F. James of the, United
States public health and marine hos
pital service received quite a surprise
yesterday when he was. waited upon
by a delegation of the Japanese hotel
union of this city, headed by S. Sheba,
f editor of the Hawaii Shinpo, and pre
sented with a beautiful Japanese jar
diniere and stand. He was also
handed a letter explaining the visit
and the cause of the presentation. The
letter read as follows:
