The exercises were held in Wilcox hall, Mills School. An oration on "Making American Citizens," delivered by August Puukl. was one of the several Interesting numbers on the program,,. Puukl ex plained the efforts being made by the schools of the territory to solve the problem of making American citizens of Oriental youths born in Hawaii. The principal address was delivered by Rev. George Laughton of the First foreign church, Hilo, whose subject was "The Power That Makes for Liv ing." The diplomas were awarded by Dr. Robert Day Williams, president ol Mid-Paclflo, assisted by John F. Nel son and Kathryn Adams. Principal Nelson of Mills announced that the name's of Chuck Ah FOng, Choy Doo Whan and Edward Ha will be placed on the honor roll. During the exer cises music was furnished by the Ka waiahao Glee Club, led by Miss Ruth Tubbs and Hogarth Pettyjohn. The ihvqcation was by Rev. O. H.
