It was expected that Rogan would -. pitch on Sunday against the Rugerites, h but Manager Carr will perhaps send 'I In Jasper or Jackson as the star of the team has been troubled with a f j sore arm. He will perhaps be seen Hn center field. t . Cumminaa to Pitch. Cummings, the star pitcher of tho I Ruter team, who has never lost a 1 1 game, will perhaps be selected to burl 1 1 against the WreckerB. Cummings is ?4 the type of pitcher who should beat vi the Wrecking crew, and without doubt V: will give a good account of himself, r The Rugerites have proved to be j good hitters, by beating Kelly. Crump ifler and Brinza, and are confident that they will be able to score some runs j off the Wreckers' hurler j ' 'Kelly and Crumpler made the trip H with the Rugerites last Sunday, and one of these pitchers may be in the U lineup against the Wreckers. Man S iger Stewart believes that with Rogan f th6 recipient of a cup, the Jinx r- will go to the Giants. Cummings has " never been defeated, and the fans l will be wondering whether or not the i Wreckers will be able to accomplish ?' what the other teams have failed tc t da Jasper or Jackson. Jasper looks like the logical selec tion' against the. Giants, as -the Ruger ; teim bit Jackson bard Jm ;a, recent s game, and may cause the l(ttle south , - paw some trouble. If; Kelly, cf; Stewart, cf; Langley, rf. It is not yet known who will be the orator to present the cup to Rogan on Sunday, but one of the local speeehmanfcers is being sought for tho occasion. The" usual thing when one i3 presented with a cup is to strike out. Whether Rogan will do this is yet to be seen. Perhaps Cummings can answer the question. Braves vs. Ashahis. A hard battle is expected in the first game of the day although the Braves are expected to be favorites over the Asahis. Bill Lee, manager of the Braves, has announced a new pitcher to start against the little Japanese team. Sam Guerrero, the well known swimmer, is the new star who will bn given a chance to work on Sunday. George Murakami Is shy of pitchers at present, but Yoshi, the hurler for the Y. M. B. A. team of Waipahu may be secured for the occasion. Maesake has been Injured and may not be able to hurl on Sunday. He is round ing to shape and may decide to go in, should the Asahis be in need of hurl ers. Bill Lee Ise Confident. , " BUI Lee will have a strong team in the field. He has made it a point to have a man for-every position, in case a player Is injured. Lee, Nelson and Perry can catch. Silva. Perry ant Rosa are strong at the first sack. In Rosario and Rosa, Lee has two good men to relieve Mara, Gomes and Ana bu. With two speedy outfielders, Ornellaa and Rosario, and! a hard hit ter in O'Sullivan, the Braves ought to be well fortified for a fight tor the second series. Murakami has strengthened his team and will attempt to send the Braves team farther down the ladder. He has a great fielding team, and with a number of good base-runners should make things interesting for'the Brave team. 1 I ' 5 X.'
