('.Complete figures upon the 6,000.000 tons pro gram contemplate by the United States shipping board were announced by Chairman Edward N. Hurley. There are now building and under contract fifty-eight composite stiips with a total tonnage of 107.00. There are 345 steel and fabricated ships with a tonnage of 2.666.400. Included in these are fabricated ships of 6000 and i 7500 tons and steel ships of 8800 and 12,000 tons. TbPre are 77S wooden vessels of a total tonnage of 3,310,000. This makes a total of 11S1 ships with a total tonnage of 4.203.000. In addition ships with an aggregate tonnage of 2.25000 are being com mandeered. These will bring the total tonnage in the program up to about 6,500,000. AH of these ships must be delivered before January 1, 1919. Julius Ba'es, president of the corporation, said the decreases in flour consumption amounts to 20 per cent. He sail that flour mills have increased production 15 )er cent above last year, which is in line with the corporation's policy of encouraging flour milling and ex portation of flour, rather than wheat.
