Dr. Pratt, physician of the Hoard
of Health, who was expected on Maui
this week, has written to Dr. Dine
gar that it will be the first of March
before he can get away from Hon
olulu. Mrs. Lufkiu, Miss Lufkin and Miss
Smith arrived on tho Sierra from the
Coast and came over on Wednesday's
Claudinq to spend some weeks with
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. D. Lufkin of
Mr. Max J.Koning of San Francis
co, who has recently been visiting
the Islands for his health, and who
was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Coll'ey
of Puunene, while on Maui, left for
Honolulu on last night's Kinau.
Mr. W. E. Dcvereux, formerly of
.Hoil'schlaeger & Co. but soon to
travel ior Grinbaum & Co., is taking
a two week's vacation'on Maui, tho
principal portion of which he will
spend with his brother at Huclo.
Mr. J. J. Williams, the Honolulu
photographer, spent a week on Maui
taking views, notably of Puunene
Mill, and left on Tuesday for Hono
lulu. He will probably return later
and spend two or three months on
