Indians on War Path.
CITY OF MEXICO. Sept. 27. Street riots occurred yesterday
Terrible reports come from Chaipas. Indians are on the warpath and
plundering the populace. The few troops in the province have been
overpowered. At Cala Wenascsia, Franco, the president let the vil
lagers against the Indiana. He was cnnlnred and minified. The In-
dians are outraging the women, and killing all captiveB.
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept, 27. Rolph was elected in the primaries
yesieruay;oy o,uw majority. The socialists polled a very small vote.
LONDON, Sept. 27. The bank of Egypt has closed its doors on
account oi losses in cotton. .

Battleship Blown Up.
TOULON, France. Sent. 26. The battleshiu Li bcrte lvintr in the
navy yard channel was destroved at an ear v hour vesterdav mornine
oy lour consecutive explosions in the magazines. Between 400 and 500
oincers and men were killed. Boats beloneine to the battleship Re
public were destroyed by the shock. The Republic was injured.
LHIASSO, Switzerland, Sept. 26. Complete press censorship all
over Italy is established. Italy is determined to force the conquest of
iripoli.
BERLIN Sept. 26. Germany is attempting to arrange a peaceful
settlement oi the trouble between Italy and Turkey.
KIEV, Sept. 26. The slayer of Stolypan was hanged immediate
ly after his trial. .
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26 Harrington must answer questions
oy the the prosecution. Darrow claims this is sufficient ground for a
change of venire. McNamara has been re-elected to his position as
secretary of the Structural Iron Workers.
Another War Scare.
HOME, Sept. 25. War with Turkey is emminent. The minister
of war has called 12,000 reservists to the colors. This swells the army
to 300,000 men. Italy demands that the whole province on the north
east coast of Africa, belonging to Turkey be ceded to Italy in the same
manner as France holds Liberia. Italy is ready to send her fleet and
65,000 men to take possession of the country.
FORT SAID, Sept. 25. It is emphatically reported here that a
Turkish warship has captured the Italian liner Regina Marghereta at
Messina.
MEENAH, Wis., Sept. 25. A joy ride in a hay rick ended dis
astrously, when they collided with a train and 12 were killed and
many injured.
GUAYAQUIL, Sept. 25. Four violent'earthquakes have shaken
this city and much damage resulted.'

CITY OP MEXICO, Sept. 23. Great excitement has been caused
by the stand taken by Reyes. He has practically withdrawn from the
fight. He is urging his followers to abstain from voting as the elec
tions are illegal.

HONOLULU, Sept. 23. William. Beck, a clerk in the postoffice
has been arrested for stealing twenty dollars.
The Savoy Theatre must be fixed as regards exits, else it will not
be allowed to open.
Over a dozen blind pigs are reported in the Kakaako district.
The Supreme Court has decided that Beatrice Campbell Beckley
was an infant when Bhe was married.
David Ewaliko, the union organizer, will be received with music
at the mass meeting in Aala park tonight.
