County Convention.
We surrender most of our space to-day
. j the proceedings of the County Con
vention and a condensed report of tho
very able speech of Senator Bayard, bo
fore the County Moeting. This speech
will meet with a hearty reception. The
county ticket is a good one, and will lx
received with satisfaction. Tho State
to
Senators are both men of great expen
ence and capablo of transacting the work
before them. We know them both and
that the Convention
we do not believ
could havo done better. The Kepresonta

ticket are such as should guorante
their
election.
The Rrospeet.
Tho proapoct for carrying tho county
for the Democratic party grows brighter
as tho campaign opens, and thero is
scarcely a doubt that the peoplo arc
tired of Radical rule, and will not submit
to be put under the heel of tho negro by
any party.
