Prayor by the Chaplain. ^t* .Shakespeare, from the Committee to which it had been re-cow mitted, re ported back the Rouse bill to incorpor ate the Delaware City and New Castle Railroad Company, without amendment, and with a favorable recommendation. I ne bill was then read a third time aud Mr. Davie reported favorably the House bill to prohibit live stock from running at large in School Districts No. 44 and 150, Sussex county. Read a third time and passed. On motion of Mr. Ray, the bill to unite and grade the public schools of Newark was taken up for consideration, read a third time and passed. The tax is limited to 91,000. Ou motion of Mr. Causey, the House bill to consolidate tho public schools of Seaford, was lead. And further, on his motion, tho rules were suspended and the bill read the 2d time. On motion of Mr. Ray, the House bill to incorporute the Pioneer Club Stables was read. On motion of Mr. Causey, the House supplement to the act to incorporate the town of Wyoming was read. J On motion of Mr. Moore, the bill to authorize David W. Ralph to change a public road in Sussex couuty was read a third timo and paused. On motion of Mr. Fiddeman, bill to change the name of Hettie E. Frame to Hettie E. Mr. Biddle gave notice of an act to amend Chapter 99 of tho Revised Code. The bill provides that if Justices of the Peace remove from the Hundred for which they were appointed, they shall receive no foes. Mr. Shakespeare reported the bill to amend the supplement to tho charter of the Pocomoke Hiver Improvement Com* pany. Also, tho bill to incorporate the Draw bridge Packing Company. . Mr. Biddle reported the House hill to incorporate the Delaware City Public Schools, all of which were read a third time and passed. Mr. Shakespeare reported the bill to incorporate the Sussex Midland Railroad Company, which was read a third time and lost by tire following vote : Yea«— Messrs. H. H. Co., with uu amendment striking out all after tho enacting clause, and providing for the payment by the company of $20,000 annually, in quar terly statements, in lieu of all ; other taxes uow paid by them to the Btatc, provided the company first agrees to reduce its charges for transporting fruit ut ieust 25 per cent, from the rates of transportation of 1874. The amendment was read and the bill recommitted. On motion of Mr. Wilds the vote defeating the Wilmington colored school bill, was reconsidered. Mr. J. W. Philips introduced a bill providing for a special election for town commissioners of the town of Seaford, to be held on the fourth Monday of March. Under a susp sion of the rules it was read lb times and passed. Mr. Biid introduced u bill author izing the Recorder Jof Deeds of New Castle county to make a certain index. Read once. Mr. Nowland reported back again the bill reducing tlie tax on the P.,W. &B.R. R. Co. it was read and adopted. On motion of Mr. J. W, Philips the Senate amendment to the bill incor porating the Junction and Breakwater R. R. Co., was read and concurred in. It is that of drying po tatoes and onions. They are sliced and dried much the same as apples. One firm in that city has an order on hand for 50,000 pounds of dried potatoes, as well as for 1600 bushels of onions. They are intended for the navy.
