against gashed and swollen laces and bleed

They came up again at the call of the fifth
round, hut so disfigured and exhausted that

House.
Washington, Feb. 0.—In tho United
States Senate today Mr. Jones of Nevada,
from the Committee on Commerce, reported
favorably the bill to relieve vessels from the
compulsory pilot fees,

Committee on Foreign Relations, reported
favorably the joint resolution for the termÜ
nation of the fishery clauses of the Treat/

In the House, Mr. Bel ford of Colorado,
from the Committee on Coinage, reported
the resolution» declaring it inexpedient to
discontinue the coinage of the silver dollar,
aud recommending that additional vaults
he provided for the storage of the accumu
lated coins at some point In the Mississippi
Valley. Mr. Kasswn of Iowa, offered a re
solution providing that during the remainder
of the session it shall be in order on any
day after the morning hour to move to sus
pend the rules, so as to consider in the House
any regular appropriation or revenue bill
w hich shall have been reported by a com
mlttifc und may then be iu Committee of
the Whole on the State of tho Union, or
which may then be on the Speaker's table,
and auch motion shall be decided by a ma
jority vote. Referred to the Committee on
Hu let. A conference report on the West
Point Appropriation bill was agreed to.
Ihe Turiir bill was considered until the hour
of recess. The evening session was for the
consideration of individual pension bills.
The Naval Appropriation bill as rej»orted
in the Senate, appropriates 115,727,434, or
$•>18,035 more than the bill as passed by the
House.

noon, Buchan Hepburn, principal member
of the Piuoe Altos Mining Company, waa
