The confirmation service at the Reformed Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, South west corner of Eighth and Monroe streets, last evening, drew a large congrégation. The service began at 7.30 with the evening prayer read by Rev. Mr. Reynolds, of Phil a delphia, which was followed by a sermon by Bishop William R. Nicholson, selecting his text, "For thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity, for It is great." At the conclusion of the sermon the rector, Rev. J. L. Estliu, announced a hymn aud invited the candidates for confirmation to come forward to the chancel. The rector read the preface to the service of confirma tion of the Episcopal Church. The bishop hearing the responses of the candidates for admission, con tinned them and gave them good advice, calliug on them to live Chris tian lives and be faithful to tbe church. After praying aud sinking the congregation was dismissed by the bishop. UNITY LECTURES. Dr. WUaon Speaks Upon the Stomach Last Night. Dr. IT. R. Wilson delivered a very inter esting lecture before the Unity Club, in the First Unitarian Church last evening, taking for his theme " Health and Habits ; the Stomach and its Functions." The audience was one of the largest which has at tended the popular Wednesday evening series, and expressed to hear more upon the entertaining subject. The address wap given in a popular maimer, the use of all technical terms being carefully avoided,and and in many cases the doctor employed diagrams in illustrating his remarks. To a great extent he advocated a vegetarian diet and particularly declared as unhealthy the e&tiDg of pork. The next lecture will be given by J. R. Nicholson, on Wednesday evening, March 91>who will take for his subject "Memory." OMf Fell Down Stairs. Providence Caldwell, aged 38, living at No. 530 East Eighth streets, arose yesterday morning about 3 o'clock to call some workmen who were going out of town. When attempting to go down stairs she wa6 suddenly over come with giddiness and fell to the first door.
