That part of the proposed road lrom the Susquehanna river to Philadelphia, is known ae the "Delaware Division," aud is tubdlvlded into various sections, No. 1 commencing at t ie river. Messrs. Burns and Noak *s, of Now York, who have secured the contract lor sections are located here and have sub-let sections to numerous sub contrac tore. Nos. 12 and 13 are suo-letto Messers. Donah us and Ten y, ol « Mean, N. Y., who broke grouud last Monday, aud are working energetically force of men, horses aud machinery. They broke grouud on the land ol Judge McCattlley, about three miles nor h ol Elk ton, and Here they have also opened a large quarry to luruiah stone lor the heavy mason work that will be required. These sectious through Wilna flouring 1 m Us, and with in a short distance ol the Ledger paper mills. Some very heavy masoury work will be required, lucJudlug a large stoue aud Iron bridge at Laurel run; a large stoue bridge over the Blue Ball road; and 30 loot span stone bridge, 60 feet high, over the Little Elk, and a heavy stone spau over Duoott's run. The heaviest gradlug on the road will be in these sectious, iucludiug a cut of 55 feet on Judge McCaulley's land. Section 14 and 15 are sub-let to Messrs. Troxal & Combs, of Morristown, N. J , who began work July 10 with a large force ol iueu aud learns. Very heavy worn iu grad lug aud masonry will be required on sectiou 15, iucludiug a bridge over Dig Elk creek, at Baldwin's cot mills. No. 17 requires some mabonry, but gen rally light grading to the Delaware hue, where it crosses the Morrison larui to Christiana creek, where a 30 loot arch will be built, requiring 4,500 yards ol masoury; tbe grading lrom tbe Delaware hue to this poiut will be light. (taction 18 is under sub contract to Messrs. Fillmore aud «Morrow of 8c ran ton, Pa. 1 hey will break grouud next Wednesday. It runs through lands of the Casbo Machine Company, and a large girder bridge will be built over the mill race.
